Once there was a girl who wanted to be a writer. But then she fell in love with her science classes (especially the biology-related ones) and she decided she wanted to be a scientist when she grew up. A few (or a lot) of years later she settled into a life that included insect, biochemistry, and physiology (oh, my!) a long with a lot of writing (so much writing). Some of the writing was rather tedious and hard to write, but a lot of it was fun and it gave the girl joy to write and share it.
After a while, she decided that she needed a central place to collect all of the writing she wanted to share. So somewhat like this alfalfa leafcutting bee, she began to construct a nest with pieces of writing and pictures she wanted to share. Carefully and intentionally she started writing things that she put in their proper place. Over time, her ideas came together into this blog. Some of them were only shared here on this site, but others were sent out into the world to be shared by other people (those can be found on the “Writing in Other Places” page. She hopes that you will enjoy, learn from, and/or be inspired by what is collected hear.
